To show or hide the labels of a path in the 3D View right click on the object it belongs to in the Object Explorer and select Show Path Labels or Hide Path Labels in the context menu (see also Select and display a context menu). The labels are also hidden when the following options are selected: the Hide All option of the sequence, the Hide All objects option of the category, the Hide option of the object.
The Show Path Labels option shows the nodes and the labels of the path. These are determined in the process that calculates measurements of the paths in a sequence. See Measures of a path
In Figure 1 the nodes and the labels of a path are shown in the 3D View.

When the nodes and the labels of a path are visible, open the context menu associated to a node and select the option Edit Path - Slice <nr> to edit the path at the slice number nr, which is the slice the node belongs to. Figure 2 shows the context menu associated to the node labeled 1. This allows to edit the path in the slice 10, which is the slice the node belongs to.
