Expand object to the previous / next slice

These tools expand each contour of the object to the previous and to the next slice.

To expand an object to the previous slice, right click on the object in the Object Explorer and select Expand to previous slice from the context menu.

To expand an object to the next slice, right click on the object in the Object Explorer and select Expand to next slice from the context menu.

Actions associated to these functions:

1- Open the previous / next slice. The slice will open maintaining the zoom factor and the scrollbars position of the current slice.

2- Copy each contour of the object to the previous / next slice.

3- Move and resize the pasted contours to adjust them to the present image.

4- Use the Fit Contour to Image tool to adjust the contours to the present image.

After the contours that belong to the object are pasted, a dotted rectangle will indicate that the contours can be moved and resized to the position and size that best fits the slice. To move a contour, click inside the rectangle and move the mouse pointer while keeping the left button pressed. To resize the contour, drag the edges of the rectangle as if resizing a window.

To quit the move/resize mode, right click on the slice and select Cancel Contours Moving/Resizing or press Escape key (this also disables the step 4).

Important note: the Fit Contour to Image tool works significantly better with a minimum adjustment of the contours by previously moving and resizing them.
