Add a node to a contour

To add a node to a contour, make sure the contour is visible and it is selected in the Object Explorer, and the Contour and Dot Set Edition tool   is selected in the Toolbar. Then, click where the node is to be placed. BioVis3D interprets automatically whether the new node is to be insterted between two existing nodes or at the end of a contour. The place where BioVis3D inserts a node is known in advanced, as the adjacent nodes are colored in green. Figure 1 and Figure 2 depict examples of insertions between existing nodes and at the end of a contour.

Figure 2: Insertion of a new node at the end of a contour.

Sometimes, due to the position where the node is to be added, BioVis3D misinterprets the place where the new node should be inserted. In such a case, force a specific operation by right clicking in the position where the node is to be inserted and selecting from the context menu one of the options: Add Front Node, Add End Node or Add Intermediate Node.
