Expand contour to the previous / next slice

These tools expand a contour to the previous and to the next slice.

To expand a contour to the previous slice, right click on the contour in the Object Explorer and select Expand to previous slice from the context menu.

To expand a contour to the next slice, right click on the contour in the Object Explorer and select Expand to next slice from the context menu.

Actions associated to these functions:

1- Open the previous / next slice. The slice is opened with the current slice's zoom factor and scrollbars position.

2- Copy the selected contour to the previous / next slice.

3- Move and resize the pasted contour to adjust it to the present image.

4- Use the Fit Contour to Image tool to adjust the contour to the present image.

After the contour is pasted, a dotted rectangle will indicate that the contour can be moved and resized to the position and size that best fits the slice. To move the contour, click inside the rectangle and move the mouse pointer while keeping the left button pressed. To resize the contour, drag the edges of the rectangle as if resizing a window.

To quit the move/resize mode, right click on the slice and select Cancel Contours Moving/Resizing or press Escape key (this also disables the step 4).

Important note: The Fit Contour to Image tool works significantly better with a minimum adjustment of the contour by previously moving and resizing it.
