BioVis3D inclues functions for taking several types of measurement, including the following ones:
Segments in the 3D View.
Angles in the 3D View.
Lengths of the segments determined by a node of a path and its child nodes - see Measuring a path.
Angles around the nodes of a path - see Measuring a path.
Segments in the Slice View.
Volume of an object - see property Volume.
Surface area of an object - see property Surface area.
Area of an object intersected with a slice - see property Area in slice.
Perimeter of a contour - see property Perimeter.
Area delimited by a contour - see property Area.
These measurements, as well as other information such as the number of dots in dot sets, information related to the nodes of a path, space positions of 3D elements, etc, are exported to text files for processing in spreadsheet or scientific applications - see Export Sequence.
